Yup, it’s wishing for a wormhole Friday. If you’re going to take a trip through the wormhole, you might as well give that wormhole a nice twist and go all the way into steampunk. Steampunk is a lot of things. It’s art, it’s fashion, it’s jewelry, music and yes, books. You knew it would come back to books, didn’t you?
What makes this genre so intriguing to me is that it came from the bottom up, not the top down. It grew out a love of storytelling and cosplay, from the grassroots, so to speak. You’ll find it here and there in New York released books, but it exploding among indie writers.
If you’re still nervous about investing, check out The Great Steampunk Romance Airship Tour celebrating the release of Heather Massey’s new novel, Iron Guns, Blazing Hearts. If you follow the tour, you’ll see my novel, Steamrolled pop up as a giveaway. As of today, the tour is halfway over, but there’s still time to climb on board for some steampunk fun!
Have you tried any steampunk yet? If you have, what have you liked, not liked about steampunk? What would you like to see in a steampunk story or book?
All comments are entered into my monthly drawing for a $10 AnaBanana gift card. Winner is announced the first blog post of the new month.
