So, it’s April, no fooling, and, if you aren’t already in spring, you know it’s coming. And that means we’ll start stripping back the layers of winter and exposing that pale, pale skin. I don’t suntan or anything, but it’s still a shock. So that got me thinking back to one of my most viewed blog posts:
Not only do I have a muffin top, but I’m painfully SHORT. Sometimes I feel like I’m in that show, The Land of the Giants. So yah, I struggle with body image issues, but two of the most beautiful women in my young life were my two grandmothers.
So please kick off the shackles of we-all-have-to-be-one-size and embrace who you are right now. Short, tall, thin or not, gray or not. Be happy. And now that I’ve embraced 60? I have to tell you, I wish I’d known how good I used to look. LOL
What are you looking forward to this spring? I love comments so much that I pick a favorite to receive my monthly AnaBanana gift basket ($25 value). Recipient is announced the first blog post of the new month.
P.S. I think all my characters struggle with identity and yes, body issues. One of my favorite recent characters is Hannah from Dead Spaces. She doesn’t just have dead bodies to deal with but BROTHERS.
