Looking for an Escape Route

“A ginger at the 2011 Texas Renaissance Festival, Todd Mission, Texas. When I asked if I could take her photograph she said yes and then spent the next 5 minutes trying to talk me out of it. She was cute about it. In this photo she was looking for a way out of being in front of the camera. She was encouraging me to take photos of the other people in the shop. But no such luck. I liked her colorful appearance: hair hat and coat.”

This photo cracked me up. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen this look on the faces of our kids, nieces, nephews and yes, random strangers. The hubs quest for the perfect picture is never ending. If you’re new to the blog and haven’t seen my landing page, with more of the hub’s pictures, you’re missing out.

Have you been on the receiving end of the annoyed look? Handed one out recently? Do you dread getting your picture taken? I know I dread the 10 lbs the camera adds to the family jowls. O.O

Do share your adventures in annoyed looks and/or photographing. All comments are entered into my monthly drawing for a $10 AnaBanana gift card (no photo required). Winner is announced the first blog post of the new month.

Perilously, and furtively, yours,

Most of my “in the flesh” interactions are with non-human entities, but yes I do enjoy the expressions some wear. Occasionally I just happen to have a camera booted up and ready to shoot when the expression is there. I really wish I had a Screen Shot option on my brain. So many great things I’ve seen that came and went so fast there was no way to photograph them.

Your shot is precious! Good work.

I know what you mean! You blink and the shot is gone! I wonder how people do get those great shots. I guess by always having a camera ready, but then do they miss real life? Hmmmmm…. I will tell the hubs you liked the shot. 🙂

I get that look from a certain daughter every time the camera comes out. I keep telling her that one of these days she’ll want to have some pictures of herself where she isn’t annoyed looking. LOL

LOL! I know! The hubs has tons of pics of annoyed looks from our kids. And I see a few pictures from my past that I wish weren’t so annoyed looking. LOL
