WKRP in Cincinnati hooked me as fan for the duration of the series when they aired this Thanksgiving episode. Hope you enjoy this snippet from the episode as much I did and continue to do. 🙂

This will post the day after Thanksgiving, but I’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who has stopped by this blog, whether you comment or not. A writer spends a lot of time alone, a lot of time wondering if anyone has noticed they are writing. Your visits to this blog tell me that someone has seen my words. If you like what you read here, might I suggest you hop over to my website. I have even more words there, compiled into books. Books make great gifts. 🙂

And now to the links:

Kristen Lamb posted a HILARIOUS blog post this month about spamming. Check out “Why settle for your reader’s wallet when you can get into her pants.” Must read!

From “Do You Remember” I really enjoyed this short article about the “5 Misunderstandings of lunch atop a skyscraper” on Tumblr.

And for more laughing out loud, More Cowbell gave us “The Bag Whore Goes Commando.”

And I totally got a kick out of Jordan L. Hawk’s “Office Supplies Will Save Me.” (I will confess to having the same delusion sometimes.)

So, did you have a great Thanksgiving (if you celebrated)? stumble upon any great videos or fun links you’d like to share? If you have been here before, then you know that comments get entered into a drawing for a $10 AnaBanana gift card of could-be-a-gift-ness. Winner is announced first blog post of the month. 🙂

Perilously, and thankful I’m staying home on Black Friday yet again, yours

Fantastic, Pauline! I’d never seen that snippet from WKRP…what a great show. 🙂

Thanks for putting me in that line-up of stellar posts. I agree that the post from Kristen was insanely fabulous and I sure am glad you enjoyed The Bag Whore post. He’s a hot mess…

We had a great Thanksgiving at our place and I hope you did too.

Hi Pauline, yes I read it, and routinely do! Though as a UK reader some of the stuff is a bit over my head (whatever is a turducken anyway?). All good cultural education!

That is so kind of you and very heartening to read. 🙂 A turducken is a chicken stuffed in a duck, which is then stuffed into a turkey. It has two different kinds of stuffing stuffed into, well, it’s all layered together and the seasonings are to die for. I will have to take a picture of one and post it. I failed to do that yesterday, but will do better for Christmas. It’s good eating, but I also love the way it makes our house smell while it cooks. Wafts me back to New Orleans for a bit. 🙂
