I don’t know about you, but as the weekend closes in, I need things to lighten up a bit. And it’s autumn. Even here in Houston is is slightly cooler. And we have pumpkins, though not this display. This photo comes from the #hermitroadtrip. I pulled it from the hub’s Fickr page because it was pretty. And because it made me smile.

What makes you smile as October starts its slow side toward Halloween? Do you have some pretty in your life that makes you smile? I hope so! Don’t forget that it isn’t only Halloween that delivers treats. There’s also my monthly drawing for an AnaBanana gift basket! To enter just comment! Winner is announced the first blog post of the new month.

Pauline Baird Jones, author, writer, romantic suspense author, science fiction romance author, steampunk, humor

Perilously yours (though with a smile!),

Pauline

Pauline loves autumn. She misses it. She misses when her mom used to make donuts to hand out for Halloween. She really misses those donuts. A lot. She funnels that missing into perilous novel plots. Her latest is Family Treed: The Big Uneasy 1.5. It’s a short story, an amuse bouche she wrote for her readers while she works on longer stuff amid the chaos of real life. For more information, or to sign up to hear about new releases, pop over to her website at paulinebjones.com. There’s more than just book information there. πŸ™‚
