Weeki Wachee Springs near Spring Hill in Hernando County, Florida is famous for its mermaids. In fact it is the only state park in the United States, that I know of, that advertises mermaids. Even without mermaids the spring is a stunning natural wonder. Copyright by WyoJones. All rights reserved. Used with permission.

In the midst of a very white, very cold winter, who doesn’t need a beautiful sea wormhole with mermaids???

I’ve never been tempted to write a mermaid book (though I have read a few), but this makes me wonder…because I don’t have a long enough production list already. haha

So, after a tough couple of weeks in the real world, who wants to swim with the mermaids?

I love comments so much that I pick a favorite to receive my monthly AnaBanana gift basket ($25 value).  (And don’t forget that once a quarter I’ll be tossing in something fun from the Perilously Fun Shop!) Recipient is announced the first blog post of the new month.

Perilously yours,

They really are, aren’t they? I can still remember SPLASH and how fun that was…
