I have mixed feelings today. Nine months ago, Veronica Scott and I persuaded ten authors to join us in our sometimes epic, sometimes crazy-making journey to unleash upon an unsuspecting world another…
PETS IN SPACE!!
(Can you almost hear the announcer and that echo from The Muppets?)
Well, tomorrow is the day. We’ve written, we’ve planned, we’ve created, and we’ve talked about this thing. For those who preordered their copy, it will magically arrive on devices around the world, possibly while you are sleeping.
Tonight all twelve of us will be praying/hoping/wishing on stars that:
- None of the vendors deliver the wrong file. (It happens.)
- That as readers dive in, they will fall in love with the heroes, the heroines, and of course, the pets of this long-awaited anthology. That they will laugh, cry, sigh and when they reach the end, wish it wasn’t over.
- That this time no readers will miss out on our TIME LIMITED anthology. That’s right, this will ONLY be on sale for six months. Seems like a long time, but it’s actually not. This means that we also hope readers will tell someone and they will tell someone and they will tell someone…well, you get the picture. There is only so much we can do to get the word out. In the end, it is readers talking to other readers that matters the most and sends the word traveling all over the world (and possibly to the stars?). So please share this post or a book link with a friend or friends!
- And that enough orders will flood in and we’ll be able to double our contribution from last year to Hero-Dogs.org. Hero Dogs is the biggest reason this anthology matters so much to Veronica and I. 10% of all preorders and the first month’s profits go to Hero-Dogs.org. Hero Dogs raises and trains service dogs and places them free of charge with US Veterans to improve quality of life and restore independence.
So, tonight I will go to bed with hope my heart. I might even sleep. Okay, I probably won’t. I didn’t sleep last year. Lol
Did you know authors suffer this much hope and anguish over a book release? I know I didn’t until I became one. The good news is, I usually funnel my anguish into hosing the characters in my next book (who might be hiding under an alien table right now). Lol
Please don’t forget to share this post on your social media or with a reading friend and then tell me who you thought would also love Embrace the Romance: Pets in Space 2.
I love comments so much that I pick a favorite to receive a $25 gift card from my Zazzle store. The recipient is announced in the first blog post of the new month.
