This photo in the hubs Flickr stream caught my eye. Sometimes that trip through the wormhole has a rocky landing. But then I look at those trees. There they were. Thriving in that very rocky landscape.

Here’s the what hubs has to say about this photo:

Hill Country Farmland

Limestone outcrops along the top of a hill in Texas’s Hill Country near Natural Bridge. As one old rancher told me, ” This is tough country. Hard to run a profitable ranch here because of the soil. You can’t plow it, and if you decide to graze cattle they better learn to eat rocks.”

Is it just me or did the hubs do good with this one? What’s your landing likely to be this weekend? I hope it’s not too rocky!

I reward comments with entry into my monthly drawing for an AnaBanana gift basket of awesome ($25 value). I announce a winner in the first blog post of the new month.

My weekend was very rocky, but in a good way. We spent too much together-time in our RV going to my son’s wedding. 7 people, 2 big dogs, and one stinky cat in an RV meant for maybe 4 adults was much too crowded. But my son and his new bride looked so happy. And her family is awesome.

That’s an amazing photograph. Stunning. My granddaughter turns 10 today so it will be a wonderful weekend but also a l little rocky in that it makes me feel so old. How can she be 10? I swear she was an infant just a few years ago.
