It’s hot. It’s humid. Actually, it’s really hot and really, really humid. It’s August. And it needs to move on. Seriously. Move along, August. There’s nothing more to see here.

Does August like you? Treat you well? Do you have a month that hates you? You know I love comments, even August comments. I enter them into my monthly drawing for an AnaBanana gift basket ($25 value). I announce a winner the first blog post of the new month. 🙂

Let’s end the month on a fun note, with some whacky romantic suspense. 🙂 You can buy it now in digital or audio. 🙂

I was immediately attracted to your post because I too suffer in the August heat. Only problem is where I live (Maui) September is worse than August because the trade winds tend to die down so the humidity just hangs – ugh! Still, no complaints! I live in Paradise, got my trusty fan right next to me and we’re on the countdown to Fall … my favorite time of year outside of Spring, and okay and maybe Winter. 🙂

I have to admit that sometimes September has been hotter than August here. Wow, Maui! That is very cool. I sometimes think we should retire to Maui or at least an island somewhere. My sister and I have our “Gifts from the Sea” moments where we want to be strolling along a beach. I go there a lot in my imagination. Like you, I LOVE the fall! And I want it now! LOL

The month of August is crazy for me. All the back-to-school stuff seems to consume my entire month. Sigh. I’m looking forward to August being over and a return to more consistent schedules. Notice that I didn’t say “normal” schedules–no such thing.

Yeah, I think the normal ship sailed a long time ago! When I was little, I wanted August to go as slow as possible, because school started in September. But yeah, now I just want it to get cooler. Here’s to consistent!

It’s wet and windy and a cold 45 degrees here in St. John’s, Newfoundland. A couple of days ago a jacket was optional. A couple of days from now, a jacket may be optional again–a tease, of course. The top of our maple trees are turning yellow and I’ve already bought the first of several pairs of boots I’ll need for snowy paths. I wrote in front of the fireplace this morning! I don’t miss Houston’s July, August and September but, here, in just a couple of months, I will definitely miss the warm sun.

I dream of cooler weather! I have so loved seeing all your photographs of your Newfoundland adventure.
