I’m a little embarrassed to admit this, but I did not know this was dogwood. I had to go through the wormhole for Friday to learn this. So you can teach an old dog new tricks, particularly if there is dogwood involved. O.O

I used to have nightmares about being back in biology class and having to identify flowers and stuff. Leaves, too. Now the hubs, he can identify all kinds of things, plant things and rock things (he’s a geologist). When we were dating, he’d point out geological type things. I thought that was cute until he had a pop quiz on the way back. Who knew I was supposed to remember that stuff?

It’s probably his fault I have nightmares about biology. (grin)

Could you identify dogwood without a hint? Have nightmares that are school related? Just need to blow off steam before the weekend? You know comments are entered into my monthly drawing for an AnaBanana gift basket (no pop quiz required!) worth $25! I will announce a winner in the first blog post of the month. Or I’ll try. I do have that memory problem….

I’ve never had my hubby give me pop quizzes, but I have had an education in architecture terms over the past 19 years. It can be unnerving walking through a building with him and having him point out what is not up to code.

My dad, who was a chemist at the beginning of his career, gives mini-lectures on paints and glues. (No, Dad – I don’t need to know how it works. I just need to know which glue I should buy.)

LOL! That is hilarious about the glues. Yeah, I’ve probably learned more geology than I realize. I know where NOT to build a house, that’s for sure. That would be unnerving, to say the least! Sometimes ignorance IS bliss. Thanks for stopping by! Looking forward to seeing you both this weekend!

I might know dogwood – if it is in bloom. After that, it blends in with all the other tries in the woods.

My husband likes to quiz me too! Only it is about cars. Old cars mostly. I think I finally know what a Mopar is and even what Mopar is short for. But often I fail the quizzes. Oh well! If we all knew everything, there would be no need for experts!

Glad I’m not the only one fighting back against pop quizzes! I think I might have to blog about that. LOL Down with tests!
