Cottontail rabbit

When we moved to Texas eleven years ago (wow, almost twelve!), my Mom told me, “Now don’t fade into the woodwork.”

I told her, “Too late.”

I’m an introvert. Shy (I bluff pretty good, but oh yes I am). And a hermit. I can fade into the woodwork really fast.  The hubs didn’t have any photos of me fading into the woodwork, so I opted for this quivering bunny to symbolize me—even though I’m not a fan of symbolism. But sometimes you just have to go symbolic. Or go home. (Which is also fine, btw. See hermit above.)

So this is me hoping April will go well, that my camo will work (hint: it’s not woodwork themed), and that I’ll press forward with my new project.

What will April bring you (besides showers and April’s Fools)? You know I love comments and I enter them all into my monthly drawing for an awesome AnaBanana gift basket ($25 value). Winner is announced the first blog post of the new month (second hint: That’s the NEXT blog post, so quick! Comment now!)

I hope April doesn’t bring me any fools. I have enough craziness going on. I’ve got the A to Z Blogging Challenge (what was I thinking?), wrapping up revisions on my fantasy in time for DFWCon (no sleep for me), and all the other stuff that happens. *wipes brow* Whew!

    Have a great April!

I so admire you for doing the A-Z! As you know, I did one blogging challenge last Nov and it was fun, but hard. Someone I know is going A-Z SF. Maybe you should do A-Z Fantasy? Though you’ve already made notes…I did my posts at least five days ahead, tried to do seven, just to feel like I wasn’t overwhelmed. I looked for holidays, or special days on the calendar to blog about, made notes in Scrivener for the day and collected pictures as much as I could. It helped me not feel so overwhelmed. I also did some really short blog posts. LOL You will rock it!!! And you’ll have a great April!

I’m doing a pseudo theme of research topics for my various SF and F WIPs (in three different age groups, no less). We’ll just see if it’s not to dry and boring. LOL. I’m also trying to explain how the research fits in the books without giving too much away.

Other research is garden related, because I can’t help it. It’s a really loose theme. 😀
