Our scenic route takes us to Grand Teton National Park today. Not sure why photos of long roads catch my eye–and my thoughts. We take a lot of different journeys in this life. There are the physical journey’s to new places and the internal ones that makes us grow up. One of our daughters used to ask the hubs, “Are we taking a nudventure, daddy?”

Usually the nudventures involved flat tires, shun pikes (the roads less traveled), and running out of gas. The hubs was good at spinning problems as nudventures. What nudventures have you taken recently? Do you fear them? Embrace them? Try to avoid them? Didn’t know you were taking them?

Comments aren’t just welcome, they are entered into my drawing for a mini-basket of AnaBanana goodies. (And if you’re holding onto an AnaBanana gift card from one of my drawings, now until August 31, 2013 would be a great time to use it. AnaBanana is offering $5 off shipping for gift card holders, but the offer expires Aug 31, 2013!)

Perilously yours,

Pauline Baird Jones is beginning a new “nudventure” in publishing. With the tragic passing of her publisher, she’s decided to go indie. It’s going to take time to get all her back list back up and on sale, so she asks for your patience. For updated information about which books are back on sale, pop over to her website at paulinebjones.com.

Best of luck to you getting your backlist published, Pauline.

I loved the first Lonesome Lawman book!

“Nudventure,” that’s just too cute! I might have to quote you in a future Parenting Plights & Delights post, one that’s about the cute things our kids say!

You have to admit the hubs was smart to reframe his disasters as “nudventures.” I’m so glad you liked the first book. I would give you more audio codes, but they won’t work. In their “infinite” wisdom, Audible gave me a bunch of codes, but somehow made them one person/one code.
